Julia Amodeo Wins 1st Place at Free Enterprise Competition

Juniors and seniors in the Clean Tech ECHS program competed in the 5th Annual Free Enterprise Marathon for Entrepreneurial High School and College Students on March 9, 2017 at SUNY Plattsburgh. The purpose of the competition is to encourage students to become better informed about the importance of free enterprise and to encourage and reward students' creativity and innovativeness. Students participated in an internal competition, "Free Enterprise Speak Off" at HVCC's TEC-SMART facility in Malta, N.Y. in January and were then chosen to attend the "Free Enterprise Marathon" at SUNY Plattsburgh. Julia Amodeo, ECHS and Mechanicville senior, took 1st place in the competition for her speech on "Free Enterprise, Why it Works". In addition to the trophy, Julia received a $500 monetary reward.
