Katrina Costanzo from Perth Places 3rd in Kid WInd Regional Competition

Katrina Costanzo from Perth competed in the Regional Kid Wind Challenge at GE Renewables in Schenectady, New York on Saturday, April 8, 2017.

KidWind is a national competition where students design, build, and test a wind turbine, to see who can create the most efficient machine that produces the most energy. Students are also evaluated on the documentation process of their wind turbine creation and their knowledge of wind power. There were a total of 180 participants in the event.

Katrina was part of a team of five students that placed third in the competition. Katrina will compete alongside teammates at the National Kid Wind Challenge Competition in Anaheim, California at the end of May 2017.
