Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School

Ballston Spa Central School District, along with its higher education and business partners, currently operates the highly successful Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School (ECHS), a program that prepares students for college and careers in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and advanced technology including semi-conductor manufacturing. The mission of the program is to develop and support pathways to higher education that lead to careers in STEM fields through rigorous academic programming and a collaborative approach to learning. Starting in 2014-2015, The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries ECHS is a NYS P-TECH program that provides students a distinct opportunity to earn an Associates Degree while preparing them to seamlessly transition into key industry sectors within our economic region.  The program includes students in grades nine thorugh twelve, from 24 school districts, taking college coursework through Hudson Valley Community College, in addition to their transdisciplinary high school coursework.

The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries ECHS supports an innovative learning environment and culture with the tools and resources necessary to acquire and create knowledge, collaborate, innovate, and connect students with higher education, the community, the region, and the world.  Students work at their own pace and leverage 1:1 technology to access individualized academic support, master program expectations, and develop college and career readiness. With support from regional economic leaders, including the Center for Economic Growth (CEG), Saratoga Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and local Chambers of Commerce, the program connects with hundreds of businesses throughout the region that serve as assets for students.

Students Graduate from Clarkson University

Clarkson University awarded nearly 800 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees to students from 34 states, 26 countries and 60 New York state counties, this spring. (An additional 275 students received degrees this past winter and summer.)

SUNY Potsdam to Recognize Class of 2018 at Commencement

The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize nearly 900 candidates for graduation during the College's 2018 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 19. The SUNY Potsdam Class of 2018 will be awarded baccalaureate and master's degrees at the ceremony.

Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School Congratulates the Class of 2016

The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School (Clean Tech ECHS) along with its partners in business and education, recently celebrated the Class of 2016 Graduation and Senior Capstone Project Exhibition. Students engaged with over 300 attendees and discussed the innovative technology they used to engineer their products after participating in a graduation celebration.
